Dr. Lana McMurrer, N.D is a licensed naturopathic doctor. Dr. McMurrer, a native Islander born and raised in Stratford, graduated from U.P.E.I. in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Always interested in nutrition and good health practices, Lana decided a career in naturopathy would give her the opportunity to help people achieve better health. In 2006 she received a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto and is licensed through NPLEX. Dr. McMurrer maintains a general family practice which includes pediatrics to geriatrics. She uses a wide variety of therapies to treat the cause of disease, personalizing each treatment plan. Dr. Susan Plourde is a licensed naturopathic doctor and owner of the PEI Naturopathic Medical Clinic.  Dr. Plourde holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the Université de Moncton, a Master’s degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College (UPEI), two years of doctoral work from the University of Southern Mississippi & a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (Arizona). 

Dr.Tracey Pollard is a licensed naturopathic doctor who has been practicing on the Island for more than 5 years. She studied and graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON.  Further studies have included cosmetic acupuncture and focused childhood wellness. Dr. Kali Simmonds, N.D. is a licensed naturopathic doctor. She has been in private practice for 11 years at 34 Queen St. and is the owner of  The Root Cellar. Kali cohosts the weekly health program Au Natural on Eastlink TV with colleague Dr.Lana McMurrer. She also has a bi-weekly column- 'Building Health' in The Guardian. Kali received her Bachelor of Science Degree from U.P.E.I. in 1994. In 1998 she received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, and was then licensed through NPLEX. Nara worked at the Root Cellar while obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree at UPEI, and upon graduating took on the role of Manager for 2 years. After a year abroad, her strong family ties to health and nutrition brought her back home to pursue an education in naturopathic medicine.
